While this book does not specifically relate to service dogs, it asks you a series of questions to help you decide which breed is right for you. It specifically addresses costs, training, maintenance and expectations. It asks questions like "Do you prefer to brush a dog with long hair or vacuum up short hair?" or "Are you a strong disciplinarian?"
